Beneficiaries
SMEs and NPMEs with CAE:
- 03210 – Aquaculture in Salty and Brackish Waters;
- 03220 – Freshwater Aquaculture; and
- 46381 – Wholesale Fish, Crustaceans and Molluscs.
Grants
- Minimum rate: 50%;
- SMES: 60%;
- Start-up projects or projects in co-promotion with entities from the scientific system: 75%; and
- Public companies: 100%.
- Non-repayable grants (non-repayable fund).
Eligible Expenses
- Setting up start-ups and spin-offs with the aim of starting up aquaculture production;
- Construction or modernization of aquaculture production units, hatcheries or related establishments, handling, conditioning and packaging units when integrated into aquaculture establishments, and installation of live bivalve mollusc transposition zones;
- Diversification of aquaculture production and cultivated species;
- Modernization of aquaculture production units or related establishments;
- Decarbonization, through the construction or modernization of support vessels for aquaculture activities that encourage the use of renewable energies, or the use of marketing and transport vehicles with low carbon emissions;
- Support for the promotion of animal health and welfare;
- Rehabilitation of natural or artificial ponds used for aquaculture;
- Investments in closed recirculation systems or in certification processes and the registration of trademarks or patents;
- Organization of companies, particularly for management training.
